Need to know?
1. Mount Juliet:
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods has described Mount Juliet as having ‘perfect fairways’ and some of the ‘best greens’ that he has ever putted on. With such rave reviews, it would be a shame to miss out.
2. Faithlegg House: Designed by renowned Irish architect, Patrick Merrigan, Faithlegg House boasts a superb setting on the banks of the River Suir and is moulded into a picturesque landscape of mature trees, flowing parkland and no less than five lakes. Be sure to keep your eye on the ball at Faithlegg.
3. Waterford Castle Golf Club: Designed by Des Smyth, this course provides a pure test of skill and precision. Ireland’s only true island golf resort, you even have to catch a private ferry to tee off.

Dungarvan Triangle
The cost? Play all three courses for just €80
The clubs: Dungarvan, Knocknagranagh, County Waterford; Gold Coast, Clonea; and West Waterford, Dungarvan, County Waterford.

Need to know?
1. Dungarvan: Running adjacent to Dungarvan Bay, this meticulously maintained course is in the shadow of the imposing Comeragh Mountains, and boasts no less than seven lakes to challenge the ardent golfer.
2. Gold Coast:  With unrivalled views of the majestic Atlantic, Gold Coast mixes the old and new to perfection. Its signature hole needs a tee shot to carry over an inlet of the Bay, so wayward shots beware.
3. West Waterford: Set in a truly tranquil location, Eddie Hackett designed West Waterford is a superb championship course amidst rolling parkland that lies along the banks of the River Brickey.

Suir Valley Golf Experience
The cost?

The clubs: Cahir Park Golf Club, Kilcommon, Cahir, County Tipperary; Clonmel Golf Club, Lyreanearla, Mountain Road, Clonmel, County Tipperary; and Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club, Carravoone, Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary.

Need to know?
1. Cahir Park Golf Club: Once at the very heart of Lord Cahir’s Estate, the beautiful River Suir twists its way across this course and is surrounded by mature trees, streams and lakes. With such wonderful natural hazards, Cahir Park tests the skills and stamina of even the finest golfers.
2. Clonmel Golf Club: One of the oldest clubs in Munster, this Eddie Hackett designed Club is nestled at the foot of the Comeragh Mountains, and boasts vistas of the Suir Valley, Slievenamon and Raven’s Rock. Just make sure you don’t take your eye off the ball too long…
3. Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club: Yet another fabulous course with spectacular views, the original 9-hole layout was described as one of the finest in Europe. And its expansion by Eddie Hackett to 18 holes hasn’t dented that glowing reputation.

The clubs: Rosslare Golf Club, Rosslare Strand, County Wexford; St Helen’s Bay Golf Resort, Kilrane, County Wexford; Seafield Golf & Country Club, Ballymoney, Gorey, County Wexford.

Need to know?
1. Rosslare Golf Club:
Almost one hundred years old, Rosslare Golf Links stands on a narrow peninsula with the Irish Sea on one side and Wexford Harbour on the other. With the wind whipping at your shots, skill and precision are key.
2. St Helen’s Bay Golf Resort: A delicious mix of parkland and links, this resort is bestowed with panoramic views of the Bay and Tuskar Rock. A challenge throughout, the closing holes can see the nearby beach can swallow up a respectable scorecard.
3. Seafield Golf & Country Club: A truly breathtaking championship course, designer Peter McEvoy has blended parkland, heathland and seaside golf into one spectacular layout, making this full USGA specification course an absolute must-play for golfers.
